Job Description

This Manager or Senior Manager supports the implementation of ORRO Strategy and Mandate and manages and coordinates various projects of moderate and large scope and complexity through all phases of initiation development and implementation.

The role will also create and maintains Operational Risk & Resilience Oversight (ORRO) SharePoint sites and JIRA tool and identify useful tools/workflows to enhance communications across teams and businesses. The role also interacts with many stakeholders within risk functions as well as business management across Manulife.

This is aHybridopportunity in our Toronto or Waterloo location where you will come into the office Tues Wed Thurs and can work from home on Mon and Fri.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Head of ORRO Governance Reporting and Risk Program Oversight
  • Support the delivery of ORRO priorities develop executive presentation materials and performance reports.
  • Monitor industry trends and conduct external research for strategic insights.
  • Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps.
  • Assist in strategic communications and support internal communication strategies.
  • Monitor project progress identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and report on project progress to stakeholders and executive management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and on budget maintaining highquality standards.
  • Facilitate postproject evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement continuous improvement practices.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships by building trust ensure clear communication and align project objectives with stakeholder expectations. Act as the primary liaison facilitating collaboration and resolving conflicts to ensure that stakeholder needs are met and project goals are achieved successfully.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree from reputable university preferred
  • Minimum 9 years experience in Project management Strategy Report and analysis
  • Tool Proficiency: Advanced use of project management software like Microsoft Project Jira Trello or Asana or traditional project management plans
  • DecisionMaking: Ability to make informed timely decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills for reporting presentations and facilitating meetings.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk is preferred but not required
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with various key internal stakeholders from key contributors to senior executives.
  • Experience with developing business case project overview and dashboard presentations (highly proficient with powerpoint visio etc.)
  • Experience with developing and maintaining SharePoint sites and managing ongoing access rights.
  • Experience working in a financial institution preferred
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

Salary range is expected to be between

$86250.00 CAD $155250.00 CAD
