Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and thorough Portfolio Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the processes and initiatives while playing a key role in supporting internal continuous improvement efforts. This role calls for a problem solver with solid project management abilities and a dedication to improving efficiency and effectiveness within the team.


Responsibilities

Portfolio/Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage internal portfolio of projects ensuring alignment with team goals and objectives.
  • Support scoping and planning of upcoming initiatives and road mapping as well as quarterly planning.
  • Monitor progress budgets timelines and deliverables providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across the portfolio ensuring successful project delivery.

Process Improvement:

  • Support internal processes from estimations to closure.
  • Support internal process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing standard methodologies.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to analyze current processes identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans tracking progress and measuring impact.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for portfoliorelated inquiries managing stakeholder expectations and requirements.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews with partners to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Lead and guide project teams promoting a collaborative environment.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance Project Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of handson experience in Portfolio Project Management Process Improvement.
  • Has expertise in leading iterative and agile initiatives; PMP and SAFe designation would be an asset.
  • Ability to interact with both technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; able to optimally articulate technical vision possibilities and outcomes to technical and nontechnical audience
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives with a focus on driving operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience as a Portfolio Manager or in a similar role with a strong track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies especially Agile and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage partners at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Jira Confluence Microsoft Office Products.

Salary range is expected to be between

$94220.00 CAD $174980.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant jobrelated factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
