Job Description
Wallis Drilling is 100% WA Family owned and is one of the most experienced drilling companies in the industry. Wallis Drilling is well known for their outstanding safety culture and the development of new technology in their rigs.
The Position:
We are currently looking for motivated candidates for an immediate start working a 14:7 (7 Days & 7 Nights) FIFO roster in WA.
Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate and undertake tasks relevant to Reverse Circulation method of drilling.
- Demonstrate leadership & ensure the safety of employees and site visitors.
- Provide knowledge training and correct task allocation to your crew members
- Conduct inspections (safety & operation) and basic maintenance of drilling rigs drill equipment and support vehicles.
- Identify and report nonconformance and or the need for improvement.
- Provide regular and concise reports on all daily activities both written and oral.
- Liaise with employees and client representatives in a professional manner.
The candidate:
Essential:
- Experience on RC equipment
- Cert III in Drilling Operations (Air/RC)
- HRA drivers licence (or higher)
- Able to work nightshift where required
- National Police Clearance (less than 3 months old) or be able to pass
- Be physically fit and healthy (pass detailed preemployment tests including DAS)
- Be prepared to work in a variety of environments and be team and safety focused
Beneficial:
- Experience operating Schramms
- MC/HC (unrestricted) drivers licence
- 4WD training
- Valid First aid Training
- Mine company inductions (i.e. RTIO BHP FMG etc).
