The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is maintenance of security for the General Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure exterior doors and stairways are secure.
- Be visible to employees entering the property and be alert for individuals not invited on the property.
- Escort distinguished guests into or out of the building.
- Monitor cameras with close attention to the gates for unauthorized entries.
- Patrol parking lot at different intervals.
- Monitor senior managements arrival/departure to ensure security levels.
- When fire alarm sounds determine area via panel and help determine seriousness of alarm; in the event of a false alarm silence the alarm and notify appropriate personnel.
- In the event of an emergency help to evacuate staff.
- If equipment (gates or cameras) are broken notify appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be a commissioned peace officer with the State of Texas.
