What does a great Mainframe Test Engineer do at Fiserv

As a successful Mainframe Test Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the test team by managing the test environments for mainframe and other applications. Test environment management includes: Test abend problem research & resolution environment maintenance test data mining sanitizing and provisioning batch cycle execution and test process automation.

What you will do:

• Assist test teams and clients by executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for mainframe applications.
• Identify document and track defects and inconsistencies working closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform testing activities to support the client acceptance testing and in house testing teams.
• Data provisioning to load for client test cases.
• Analyze test results and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

What you will need to have:

• US citizenship capable of obtaining security clearance with the Federal Government.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education work and/or military experience.
• 2 years of experience in mainframe quality assurance
• 2 years of experience JCL /PROCS Filemaster DB2 SQL and CICS.
• 2 years of related technical or software testing experience.

What would be great to have:

• 2 years of experience in testing financial software applications.
• 3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• 3 years of experience working with Syncsort Cobol OPTIM DB2 CICS ESP Endevor MS Office Suite CLIST REXX TOAD or ODBC knowledge.
• Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB CSTE).
