Job Description
Role:Support Worker
Location: Cheltenham
Hours: Up to 45 hours per week
Pay: 12.56 per hour.
Shift Pattern: Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
DBS Check: This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check which will be provided by Prosperity Care & Wellbeing.

Your Role:
We are looking for a confident and experienced support worker to join our team supporting a woman in her 30s who is independent and enjoys an active lifestyle including sports and cycling. She has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) with a Learning Disability (LD) and can present challenging behaviour which can sometimes be physical. She benefits from consistent energetic and understanding support workers who can engage positively with her interests and promote her independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with daily living activities which may include personal care meal preparation financial support and medication management.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the individual by following care plans and risk assessments.
- Promote independence and encourage the individual to make choices about their care and lifestyle
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the support team and family members.
- To provide emotional and practical support.
Requirements:
- PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) training is highly desirable. Additional relevant training in behaviour management first aid and safeguarding is also an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- You must have a compassionate caring positive personality.
- Able to commute to Cheltenham for the business needs.
