Job Description
Full time 40 hour position 4 10hr days some weekends no major holidays
Angell West is looking for a pharmacy technician to join our Waltham team. If you are a Certified Veterinary Technician looking for a new challenge this position will give you the unique opportunity to be the facilitator of organizing and expanding our Angell West pharmacy operations. Or if you a Certified Pharmacy Technician working in a retail or hospital pharmacy consider bringing your skills and learning new ones at our veterinary practice.
Duties include performing a wide range of office related duties in a Pharmacy and Clinical setting. This position is responsible for filling prescriptions communicating with clients regarding prescription needs preparing outgoing mail restocking supplies ordering and maintaining the clinic pharmacy and office inventory receiving orders scanning medical records and maintaining an organized workspace. We are looking for applicants who have fantastic organizational skills excel in interpersonal communication skills and able to work in a dynamic and fastpaced team environment while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Mandatory regular attendance and punctual presence.
2. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time 67%100% of scheduled shift.
3. Must be able to constantly move about within the pharmacy 67% 100% of scheduled shift.
4. Must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms including answering telephone typing on a keyboard writing with a pen or marker counting pills labeling orders and retrieving labels or paper from a printer 67100% of scheduled shift.
5. Must be able to frequently retrieve light items (up to 15 lb.) from a shelf above eye level or below knee level 3467% of scheduled shift.
6. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry bags of food (up to 30 lb.) over short distances (530 feet) or move them from one shelf to another 3467% of scheduled shift.

Requirements:
Certified Veterinary Technician with experience in a pharmacy setting or Certified Pharmacy Technician Required A minimum of one year of previous experience in retail or hospital pharmacy experience is required
