The Facilities Technician will provide direct handson support for facilities maintenance and improvement efforts across the Alexandria site along with supporting the EHS (Safety) activities of the site. This position will work with the Facilities Coordinator and will support a variety of projects and teams across the organization.
In addition this position will support a variety of Safety and Health related activities as part of its daily responsibilities performing inspections completing documentation and supporting the Safety and Health needs of the Alexandria site.
Areas of responsibility:
- Facilities maintenance and improvement using a variety of tools
- Movement of materials using nonmotorized and motorized equipment
- Utilization of forklifts and aerial lift
- Facilities inspection and documentation duties
- Facilities and common area part/supply management
- Pest control activities inside and outside of the building
- Safety inspection and documentation duties
- Chemical and biological waste documentation
- Light facilities janitorial duties
- Participation in the site Safety Committee
- Safety systems maintenance and support
- Other duties as assigned
Approximate breakdown of duties will include:
- Facilitiesrelated activities: 80%
- EHSrelated activities: 20%

Qualifications :
Essential Knowledge & Qualifications:
- 2 year technical degree in carpentry maintenance or a similar area of study and/or equivalent experience
- 25 years of facilities maintenance experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Extensive experience using carpentry and maintenance equipment
- Comfort using computer systems with an emphasis on Microsoft Office products
Preferred Knowledge & Qualifications:
- 34 year technical degree in carpentry maintenance or a similar area of study
- 12 years of experience in an EHSrelated role
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 certified QMS or equivalent environment
- Experience providing basic troubleshooting and support of HVAC compressor and RO water systems
- Experience supporting Safety and Health daily activities within an organization.

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $19.50 USD per hour
Maximum: $32.60 USD per hour
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the Minnesota based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience skills and location. T
his position is eligible for a discretionary bonus program. Participation in the bonus program is not guaranteed and bonuses are awarded at the discretion of the company based on individual and company performance results.
