Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is recruiting a Fulltime OB/GYN attending physician to join its team. The OB/GYN attending will provide patient care in an outpatient and inpatient setting to a panel of women and be responsible for the evaluation and management of care according to the accepted practice protocols of the medical center.
Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a 220bed teaching hospital located in a residential neighborhood directly on the border of northern Brooklyn and Western Queens. Responsibilities:
- Provide Obstetrics & Gynecological services including examinations diagnoses and treatment.
- Provide expert prenatal care ensuring the health and wellbeing of expectant mothers and their unborn children.
- Perform deliveries and assist in cesarean sections as needed.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological conditions and disorders.
- Perform surgical procedures including but not limited to hysterectomies laparoscopic surgeries and other gynecologic surgeries.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds mammograms and laboratory tests.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques to diagnose and monitor obstetric and gynecologic conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including nurses midwives and specialists to provide integrated and holistic patient care.
- Maintain open and clear communication with patients their families and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records for all patients in accordance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent
- Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in OB/GYN
- Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Must possess a current unrestricted New York State license.
- Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
- Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
- BLS or ACLS required.
- Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience working with a community clinic is highly desirable.
- Established leadership skills.
We offer an attractive salary paid malpractice generous paid time off program CME days plus allowance retirement benefits and a competitive benefit package. Compensation ranges from $230K to $370K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits). Eligibility for loan forgiveness. Visa candidates are considered. New grads are welcome to apply.
