FullTime School Receptionist Awaken Christian Academyis looking for a fulltime School Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a person who can work in a fastpaced environment with creativity and attention to detail. Someone who is passionate about Jesus and represents Him to others with a warm smile servants heartintegrity dedication and passion. Awaken Christian Academy is committed to being a Christcentered biblically based community serving the students and families entrusted to us. Staff members are the schools most important resource and they are the primary caregivers to students during the day. The individuals holding this position model Christian beliefs thoughts and actions (on and off the job) to the students as they teach. The staff shall help students learn attitudes skills and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature able and responsible Christians. POSITION SUMMARY This role is a vital part of the daily operations of the Admin Department and is the face and voice ofAwaken Christian Academy. The receptionist welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or on the phone; answers or refers inquiries. Directs visitors and gives instructions to departments. Maintains security by following procedures monitoring and screening visitors and calls. Must have the desire to grow in and serve the Lord Jesus Christ and be able to apply Biblical principles of oversight and walk by Faith trusting our Lord Jesus Christ. Follow all church and school policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES General - Represents Awaken Christian in a professional manner by greeting every guest with a smile with a customer service attitude both in person and on the phone.
- Overall coverage of the front lobby maintaining a clean and organized area.
- Answers the front desk phone lines routing the caller to the appropriate or requested person. If the requested person cannot be reached they are responsible for taking the callers name and number and a phone message and emailing it to the requested person.
- Greets and checks in all who come on campus.
- Provides directions as needed.
- Must follow Security procedures at all times.
- Responsible for staying current on all events and announcements in order to answer all questions asked either on the phone or in person.
- Handles all incoming packages (via UPS FedEx) and routes them to the correct dept./employee.
- Responsible for ticket sales during the week (for various departments) also cash handling and using the credit card machine.
- Clearly present the Gospel the good news of salvation whenever the occasion arises.
- Lead initiate and participate in prayer with whoever needs it; congregants students coworkers and the general public.
- Ability to answer questions in alignment with the Bible.
- Must have a heart for the mission and drive ofAwakenLas Vegas.
- Additional duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Experience 1 Year of Customer Service Receptionist or telephone experience preferred. Education High School diploma or High School equivalency required Certification/ Licensure CPR Certification. Will be expected to obtain within 90 days of hire KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS / ABILITIES - Must have a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus and be comfortable praying with others
- Excellent people skills with a love for working with people. Able to interact easily and listen to others.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google programs; Word Excel PowerPoint Google Docs and Sheets.
- A willingness to work some holidays and evenings if needed.
- Capable of working independently with the ability to effectively deal with and solve problems and make rational decisions.
- Ability to stay optimistic while responding calmly staying confident and not easily offended.
