Minimum Qualifications
Must hold a professional license in the state of California or be eligible within one (1) year of appointment. Must hold an OTD degree in discipline from an accredited USDE recognized regional accrediting body.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of one (1) years clinical experience. Ability to work as a team with administrators fellow faculty staff and students. Knowledge skills and experience in working with diverse students. Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written modalities. Ability to create materials for inperson and online learning using diverse teaching methods that support student engagement. Computer and online systems literacy. Experience with online pedagogy including synchronous and asynchronous delivery. Familiarity with Canvas Zoom and other systems and tools for course management and online learning. Emphasis on social justice and professional work. Strong knowledge skills and experience in working with diverse students and client/patient populations. Awareness and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population through crosscultural study training teaching and other professional experiences. Sincere desire for personal growth and development as an educator including teaching scholarship and service throughout ones career. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
