THE POSITION

Washington County Developmental Disabilities Division under the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department is hiring a fulltimeProgram Specialist.

About the Opportunity:

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who enjoys helping the public and problem solving. The ideal candidate has the ability to be resourceful and proactive and work independently. They will have advanced technical computer skills excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize multitask and work under pressure. They will also have the ability to train others be a subject matter expert identify inefficiencies and areas of improvement within the program and help resolve them. In this position it is essential to have the ability to collaborate and provide customer service to diverse individuals specifically racially ethnically and socioeconomically diverse communities. This is done through a variety of different mediums; including but not limited to: telephone email mail face to face a virtual setting or in a collaborative office environment. Additionally the ability to learn and comprehend webbased systems and databases as well as the Microsoft 365 products is crucial in this position.

Steps of the process:

  4. Panel Interview(s):Generally the top 6 8 candidates will be invited to participate in a panel interview.
  5. Conditional Offer: A successful candidate will be required to successfully clear a thirdparty background check as a preemployment condition and the State of Oregon comprehensive background check as a condition of continuous employment.
