Great opportunity to work within our fastpaced Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Clinic alongside many great providers. Within our Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Clinic there are opportunities to learn different specialties such as: podiatry foot & ankle hand trauma and more!

If you are looking to be on a closeknit team within an energetic and fast paced setting that allows for many learning and growth opportunities this is the position for you!

Clinic hours of Monday Friday 8:00a 5:00p. No weekends no holidays and no oncall.

Summary

The Scribe accompanies the physician into the patient exam room in order to transcribe a history physical exam patient instructions disposition and document accurately the physicians encounter with the patient and others present.

Job Description

Has basic knowledge of anatomy physiology surgery diagnostic tests pharmacology and the various medical specialties. Displays professional appearance and conduct while promoting an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation. Maintain and demonstrate an understanding of the team approach to patient care and documentation. Knowledge of organizational policies and computer applications. Proficiently navigates the electronic medical record. Excellent time management organization and communication skills (written and verbal) are required. Demonstrates an ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with governing regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of a medical terminology course or one year medical terminology experience in a clinical setting preferred.
