South Coast Baptist College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sports Assistant to join our Health and Physical Education team. The successful candidate will support the Head of Department and other staff with sports coaching needs logistics and preparation & set-up for sports and sporting events.
Selection Criteria:
- Strong leadership skills to motivate students teams and effective communication to convey strategies and provide feedback.
- Proficiency in planning and setting-up events such as carnivals preparations for sports and sporting events and team logistics.
- A passion for ongoing professional development.
- Dedication to mentoring students emphasising teamwork discipline and sportsmanship.
- The ability to create an inclusive and respectful environment for students and players of diverse backgrounds.
- Availability to work outside of school hours as needed.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across different levels (parents students staff administration).
- Initiative and capacity to work with minimal supervision.
- Capability to handle stressful and demanding situations
Essential Criteria:
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefsbehaviour and practices.
- Acceptance of the CollegesStatement of Faith.
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents.
- Commitment to personal best practice.
- Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair.
- Modelappropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- Commitment tomaintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies.
- Possession of the following certifications:
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
