OVERVIEW
: BAL is seeking a Law Clerk. Primary responsibilities under the supervision of Practice Manager Team Manager or Attorney include assisting our legal team in preparing corporate immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions and other immigration applications. Secondary responsibilities include other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager Team Manager or Attorney.

You must be detailoriented able to prioritize and multitask possess excellent communication skills and be experienced in MS Word.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of an Attorney assist the team in supporting our clients and BAL Community members through legal research and analysis preparing policy updates and/or other documents as assigned and through other general support to the team as needed. Secondary responsibilities include other duties as assigned including coordination with other BAL teams as needed.

You must be detailoriented; able to prioritize and multitask; and possess excellent communication organization and timemanagement skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Second or Thirdyear law school student or recent law school graduate awaiting Bar results.

Experience:

  • Some business immigration experience is preferred but not required.
  • Some government and/or public policy experience is preferred but not required.

  • In accordance with Washington D.C.s Wage Transparency Law the expected salary range for this position is between $53800 and$57100.
  • Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience geographic location and other jobrelated factors as permitted by law.
