Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Specialized training in sport psychology and/or AASP certification OR minimum of three years clinical experience and sports psychology experience and/or experience working with Division I collegiate (and/or elite) athletes. Licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Michigan (must obtain license within sixmonths of hire). Experience in conducting shortterm psychotherapy with a diverse population of students staff and faculty; including crisis work psychological evaluations consultations group therapy outreach/prevention services and writing timely psychological notes and reports. Ability to establish and maintain psychoeducational programming for the athletic department. Excellent oral and written communication organizational interpersonal and analytical skills that enable interaction with athletic staff sport medicine staff colleagues administrators faculty and studentathletes. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary treatment team and to case manage referrals to campus and community partners. Knowledge of NCAA and industry rules and regulations. Flexible work schedule required. Position may require early mornings evening and weekend hours.
