Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
A JurisDoctor (J.D.) degree. Two (2) years of professional experience in public administration or public policy including work experience with a public agency consultancy government law jobs with a policy focus (such as serving in the chambers of a state legislator or in a government agency) or nonprofit working in a public service area. A membership in a state bar association.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education administration program development or the equivalent. MPA or MPP degree or substantial experience in public administration or public policy roles. Graduate teaching experience in law public administration public policy or related area. Research and/or consulting experience on California public policy issues and engagement with California public agencies. Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in education and public service settings. Effective communication skills. Professional composure and demeanor at all times. Ability to promote the vision mission and core values of McGeorge School of Law. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
