Job Description Summary
OUWB School of Medicine has an immediate opportunity to fill the fulltime administrative role of Associate Dean for Continuous Quality Improvement ( CQI ) and Accreditation. Reporting to the Dean or his/her designee the Associate Dean will be responsible for keeping abreast of evolving accreditation standards overseeing the preparation and timely submission of requirements of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education ( LCME ) and processes for monitoring compliance with accreditation standards and documenting continuous quality improvement initiatives. Essential Duties: Chairs the School of Medicines LCME / CQI leadership team in partnership with the Dean or his/her designee. Advises School of Medicine leadership on matters related to LCME program evaluations and reviews. Ensures all LCME accreditation requirements are documented and processed in accordance with established timelines including completion of annual reporting requirements. Under the directorship of the Dean or his or her designee leads organizes and oversees the LCME accreditation processes and advises senior leadership on all accreditation requirements. Serving as a member of the Deans Executive Leadership Team consults with deans faculty course and clerkship directors and others regarding various aspects of educational programs and administrative processes as related to accreditation and quality improvement activities of the school including providing leadership and oversight in conducting the LCME Institutional SelfStudy overseeing committee operations developing reports and supervising preparation of draft and final submissions of all required documents. Manages logistics prior to and during LCME survey visits including contributions to compiling formatting and submitting the survey package (e.g. selfstudy report and independent student analysis) manages the LCME specified Data Collection Instrument ( DCI ) for the survey and contributes to coordination of ontheground details for the survey site visit. Develops and maintains project management tools to track CQI activities and ensures follow up of action items identified by CQI processes. In partnership with the Vice Dean for Business & Administration plans forecasts and develops the budget for accreditation needs including external consultant visits and LCME accreditation visits. Works to ensure alignment of School of Medicine website information with LCME documentation. Develops and leads CQI process including developing and chairing CQI collaborative workgroup. Develops and oversees maintenance of continuous quality improvement dashboard. Contributes as directed to the development of policies procedures manuals and other written communications required as supporting documentation for each of the Schools accreditation processes. Works in partnership with administrators staff and committees to ensure alignment of accreditation requirements with CQI processes and the Schools Strategic Plan. Leads accreditation/ CQI staff in the collection analysis and synthesis of pertinent accreditation and quality improvement data for communication and required reporting to relevant stakeholders and committees. Other jobrelated duties as assigned. Requirements: Ability to work in a collaborative collegial manner with a variety of stakeholders including project staff and faculty from a variety of disciplines and administration. Experience developing tracking documents/dashboards within project management software. Intermediatelevel skill and experience using Microsoft Office products. Demonstrated ability to manipulate data within Excel including macros external data connections pivot tables charts conditional formatting mail merge and the import of data from Excel into Access. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision and in a timely manner with a high degree of quality. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. This position is classified as a full time Academic Administrator. Candidates shall be considered for a nontenure track standard faculty appointment within OUWB School of Medicine.
Minimum Qualifications
M.D. DO or Ph.D. degree Minimum six (6) years of experience in medical education with a sound understanding of undergraduate medical education quality improvement initiatives and program evaluation A minimum of 3 years project management and supervisory experience as well as experience with LCME accreditation
