Job Description
smartdept. is searching for aProduct Designerfor an ad agency client located in Berkeley CA. The ideal candidate will come with 35 years of experience. This is a fulltimehybridongoingcontract opportunitywith the possibility to convert to perm status.
What Youll Do:
- Conduct user research to understand target audience needs preferences and pain points.
- Analyze feedback and usability data to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes storyboards and prototypes to visualize design concepts and workflows.
- Use tools like Figma Sketch Adobe XD or similar to build interactive prototypes.
- Design aesthetically pleasing and userfriendly interfaces aligned with brand guidelines.
- Develop design systems style guides and reusable UI components.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including developers product managers and stakeholders to deliver designs that align with technical feasibility and project goals.
- Conduct usability testing to gather user feedback and iterate on designs.
- Identify and solve UX problems such as pain points and usability bottlenecks.
What Youll Need:
- Bachelors degree in Design HumanComputer Interaction or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience designing for a large company preferably in the healthcare industry.
- 35 years of relevant experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects including wireframes prototypes and final designs.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma Sketch Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
- Solid understanding of usercentered design principles accessibility standards and responsive design.
- Experience with usability testing methods and tools.
- Knowledge of HTML CSS and frontend development principles is a plus but not required.
