In this role youll manage recruitment activity across our Bus Driver and Workshop positions ensuring compliance efficiency and a positive candidate experience. With a focus on continuous improvement brand representation and strategic hiring youll lead a small team and work collaboratively across departments to ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time. Some responsibilities of the role include but arent limited to:
- Lead coach and support your recruitment team to meet business wide staffing needs
- Oversee recruitment activity for driver and workshop roles maintaining staffing levels across all regions
- Analyse data and recruitment metrics to drive process improvements and efficiency
- Partner with the digital marketing team to boost employer branding and job visibility
- Own job advertising sourcing strategies and candidate pipelines for operational roles
- Collaborate with the L&D team to ensure seamless onboarding training and licence upgrade support
- Ensure compliance with all licencing and recruitment standards at every stage of the hiring journey
- Act as a key contact for stakeholders and hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with business goals
- Represent Busways at external forums and recruitment events to attract top talent

What Were Looking for in the Successful Candidate:- Tertiary qualification in HR or related field or equivalent experience in recruitment/people operations
- Proven experience leading recruitment within a highvolume or operational workforce
- Strong understanding of the transport or industrial services sector (bus operations preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership in unionised workforce environments
- Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and problemsolving skills
- Strategic mindset with a handson solutionsfocused approach
- Strong organisational and timemanagement skills with attention to detail
- Be an Australian Citizen Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State
- Knowledge of compliance WHS inclusion & diversity and industrial relations practices
