Crisis Clinician

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth Atchison and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide highquality care to all individuals regardless of their financial circumstances. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Crisis Clinician. This individual provides clinical services to individuals in crisis within the jail completing screens/intakes and appropriate assessments conducting therapy sessions and providing the support necessary for stabilization and release. The Crisis Clinician will also engage in mobile crisis services and provide crisis services at our Crisis Stabilization Center. Evenings Required (1 days per week after 5 p); Weekends Required.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Masters degree in social work Clinical Psychology Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW LMLP LMFT LPC LSCSW LCP LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment

EXPERIENCE:

Required:One year of experience working in a residential or crisis stabilization unit providing services to clients in acute and crisis situations and supervising clinical staff.

Preferred: one year experience with the Kansas system of communitybased mental health care and associated evidencebased practices.
