Job Description:
As a Subject Matter Expert I (SME I) on the RS3 UAS Contract you will provide specialized expertise in acquisition logistics and/or technology related to unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This role requires advanced knowledge and technical expertise to address specific functional tasks and challenges required by the contract. You will contribute to the technical direction and strategic decisions of the project leveraging your unique capabilities and experience. A Secret Clearance is required for this role to ensure secure operations within the contracts parameters.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in a technical business or management area or a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
Alternatively 15 or more years of defense/industrial or acquisition experience in the relevant field of expertise.
Must possess unique capabilities or experience not available under basic labor categories specified in Section B of the contract.
Responsibilities:
Provide expertlevel guidance and support in acquisition logistics or technological tasks as related to the RS3 UAS Contract.
Offer specialized knowledge and insights to enhance project decisionmaking and outcomes.
Collaborate with senior engineers scientists and management to address complex technical challenges and ensure mission success.
Apply specialized knowledge to provide critical inputs to specific tasks required by the contract.
Serve as a mentor and advisor to junior staff members supporting their professional growth and development.
Skills and Qualifications:
Deep expertise in acquisition logistics or technology related to UAS.
Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in a relevant field or 15 years of experience in defense/industrial or acquisition fields.
Strong problemsolving analytical and decisionmaking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
