Primary Purpose
The Emcee is responsible for providing an inclusive and entertaining environment for fans athletes staff faculty and students. The role will be an extension of marketing in promoting Pacific Athletics through events social media etc.
Essential Functions
Act as host in promoting ingame contests sponsors and entertainment. Engage fans in entertainment such as performances and cheers. Make periodic announcements when needed. Attend community events as directed by Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions. Maintain highenergy and positive attitude. Speak clearly with exceptional annunciation. Deliver exceptional customer service. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. One (1) year of experience working in an emcee or PA role with a sports organization at a collegiate minor league or professional level.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree preferably related to communications marketing sports management or related field. Experience in hosting large scale events. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
Work Schedule
Work performed during odd hours nights and weekends. This is a temporary nonbenefit eligible position.
