Position Summary
This is a fulltime faculty position at the rank of Assistant Associate or Full Professor beginning in the Fall of 2025 or later. The position offers a unique opportunity to provide leadership in shaping an innovative Sports Management program while strengthening student recruitment academic excellence and industry partnerships further elevating the Department of Kinesiology under the Linda R. Dunham School of Nursing and the University.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan implement and evaluate classroom experiences for students in a designated content area as per University policy.
- Recruit students for the graduate program in Sports Management.
- Build relationships with entities that can be utilized for student internships.
- Maintain continuing education scholarly activity and/or practice.
- Coordinate learning activities within a particular content area in accord with the total program of studies and expertise in selected areas to enhance student learning.
- May supervise student research and internships.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Sports Management or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve SACS qualifications for teaching multiple courses in diverse undergraduate programs contributing to curricular excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to quality teaching in a Christian university.
- Knowledge of industry best practices is also desired.
