TheCoEd Adolescent Mood Disorder Unitis for the multidisciplinary assessment evaluation crisis intervention and stabilization of adolescent female and male patients. Discharge planning emphasizes movement to day hospital or outpatient care as soon as the crisis has been stabilized.
As a Unit Manager you will:
- Provides 24hour 7 day per week operational management of coed adolescent inpatient unit.
- Maintains a strong physical presence on the unit to ensure the quality of care and provide additional training and support for new staff.
- Responsible for the provision of clinical services that are based on an understanding of the needs of mentally ill children and/or adolescents.
- Supervises nursingand support staff.
- Utilizes clinical expertise in the delivery of direct patient care consultative activities staff development and treatment planning.
- Manages program expense budget.
- Maintains clinical environment and staffing strategy that enable program to maintain or exceed budgeted census; is proactive and responsive to changes in patient acuity and census and makes appropriate adjustments to ensure the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment of care.
Requires:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited nursing program and at least 2 years of progressively more responsible inpatient psychiatric nursing experience. Individuals without a bachelors degree may be considered if they have completed a diploma nursing program and have at least 4 years of progressively more responsible inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
- Must possess current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment

The pay range for this position is $93953.60 minimum to $154814.14 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- All applicants must be a graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program or an upcoming graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program by application deadline (rolling admissions). Applicants with less than one year RN experience are welcome to apply.
