Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our team located near the Frost Bank Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues in trailers but most importantly we value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance conducting safety checks and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow. The applicant should be able to provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance to clients.
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay rate: $16.00 $20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues.
- Perform routine maintenance such as bearing repacks and brake adjustments.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts including axles brakes and suspension systems.
- Conduct safety checks to ensure trailers meet regulatory standards.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs parts used and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with team members for efficient workflow.
- Provide customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of mechanic experience preferred
- Strong work ethic punctuality and a great attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
