The Department of New Haven Community Resilience is a datadriven coordinated social services agency that aims to address complex human services needs in New Haven by diverting people from the criminal justice system and promoting community healing and wellbeing.
The department seeks to improve the citys ability to coordinate among contractors and service providers serving similar populations with similar needs to minimize duplication. It supports programs in databased problem analysis and identifying and tracking key performance metrics that can be reported to the administration Board of Alders and the public.
The department oversees theOffice of Violence Prevention the Office of Community Mental Health the Office of Housing and Homelessness Reentry servicesElm City COMPASS and Harm Reduction.
This is a Special Fund NonTested employment contingent upon availability of future funding. This grant is anticipated through December 31 2026 however funding may be terminated at any time.
This position is included in a collective bargaining agreement with Local 3144 American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees; the salary is within Local 3144 Range 9.

Special Funded employees shall not be covered by the City pension but shall continue to be covered by Social Security.
