Paystand Summer Internship Program 2025
Location: Onsite (Santa Cruz HQ or designated office)
Schedule: Parttime 2530 hours per week
Duration: Minimum 12 weeks total
- Must be available to work between May 28 August 22 2025 (at minimum)
Compensation:
- Paid Track: $18.00 $22.50 per hour (based on experience & department)
- Unpaid Track (ForCredit): Available for students participating in a structured schoolsponsored academic internship program
Eligibility: Graduating Juniors Seniors and Recent Graduates (within 24 months of graduation)

What Youll Do
As a Summer Intern at Paystand youll join one of our key departments such as Engineering Product Marketing Finance RevOps or People and contribute to real initiatives that align with our bold vision. Youll be matched with a department leader and work closely with your manager to identify a strategic project that will serve as the centerpiece of your internship experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations and strategic initiatives within your assigned department.
- Complete and present a capstone project to leadership and peers demonstrating real impact.
- Participate in companywide events teambuilding sessions and department immersions.
- Attend the Intern Kickoff Day on Wednesday May 28 and the Final Presentation Day on Thursday August 21.
- Collaborate across teams with openness and ownership staying curious and focused on impact.
Who You Are
- A missiondriven student or recent graduate who believes in building a better financial future.
- Ready to endure through challenges ambiguity and complexity.
- Comfortable with openness feedback and transparent communication.
- Excited to be part of a team thats not afraid to disrupt the norm.
- Have a strong sense of stewardship for the work you do and the team you support.
- Able to work onsite at one of our offices and commit to 2530 hours/week for 12 weeks.
Program Details
- Onsite only (no remote roles available).
- Youll report directly to the Head of your assigned department.
- Two participation tracks available:
- Paid Internship: $18.00 $22.50/hour
- Unpaid for Academic Credit: If you are enrolled in a schoolsponsored internship program and will receive college credit you may opt to participate in an unpaid internship through your university.
- All interns will present their final project to peers and leadership. Top performers will be recognized with a Top Intern Award at the end of the program.
Eligibility Requirements
- Preferably:
- Ideally a rising senior or graduating senior in college (Class of 2025 or 2026)
- A recent graduate who completed a bachelors degree within the past 24 months
- Students currently enrolled in other graduating years may also be considered depending on business needs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (documentation required within 3 days of hire)
- For the unpaid track interns must:
- Be actively enrolled in a university program.
- Participate through a formal academic internship program that provides college credit.
- Submit appropriate documentation from your school.
Additional Notes
- The Company reserves the right to conduct background investigations and reference checks. Your offer is contingent upon the successful completion of these checks if applicable.
- Interns are required to provide proof of identity and work eligibility within three (3) business days of their start date to comply with federal law.
