Job Description
Job Title: Metal Fabrication Specialist
Location: North Las Vegas
Pay: Up to $25/hr
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. This role involves interpreting blueprints cutting forming assembling and finishing metal components to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in metalworking attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and work orders
- Cut bend shape and assemble metal components using manual and power tools machinery or welding equipment
- Operate fabrication machinery such as shears brakes grinders saws and plasma cutters
- Weld and join metal parts using various welding techniques (MIG TIG Stick) as needed
- Inspect completed products for accuracy quality and conformance to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; trade school or vocational training preferred
- Prior experience in metal fabrication welding or a similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and work with measurement tools (calipers tape measures etc.)
- Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment and tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality control standards
- Physical ability to stand for long periods lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and wear PPE
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication (AWS NCCER etc.)
- Experience with CNC fabrication machines or CAD/CAM software
- Familiarity with various types of metals and their properties
