The District is a government agency whose mission is to protect water resources minimize flood risks and ensure the publics water needs are met. We serve a population of nearly 6million people in westcentral Florida as directed by state law.
We are seeking an individual who can provide missioncritical paraprofessional support for the business processes of the Regulation Division in permitting postpermitting and compliance/enforcement within statutorilymandated and Districtestablished timeframes. This position involves but is not limited to providing internal and external customer support data management and collaboration with other Divisions across the District to achieve results. The position may also support the financial activities of the Division. Youll have the chance to work with a wide range of teams in this promising position each of which plays a vital role in our efforts to preserve our most valuable natural resources.
This role is considered hybrid meaning that the employee will have an opportunity to work a portion of their time remotely but may be required to come onsite for meetings or other reasons as determined by their management.

Thestartingsalary range is included for theBusiness Process Technicianprofile which reflects theminimum to approximately 25% of the respective pay grade. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.
This position involves the processing of various documents using a variety of computer applications and provides support services to internal and external customers before after and during the permitting process. Tasks may include:
Working Environmental Conditions: Work activity is primarily sedentary with ability to perform continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands. This position requires the ability to continuously lift and carry objects up to 10 pounds frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend and reach above shoulder level; with the occasionally need to squat crawl or climb.
Physical Visual Acuity Requirements: Sedentary Work Close Acuity Fingering Talking Hearing Repetitive Motion.

Employee may be subject to callin outside of regularly scheduled work hours or required to be on call including on nights weekends or holidays to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.
Business Process Technician 4
The District will determine eligibility for employment solely from the information provided on a District employment application. All applicants are required to complete in full the District employment application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. A resume will not be considered as a substitute for the required District application for the purpose of qualification. Applicants who are within 30 days of graduation if selected are not allowed to start until all minimum qualifications are met.
This position is typically scheduled to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday out of the Sarasota FL office. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked over 40 hours in a week.
Travel Required
travel using District vehicle within Districts coverage area.
