Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate evaluate and record pertinent anatomical pathological and functional data. The Ultrasonographer maintains and calibrates equipment records tests results and updates patient records for referring physicians.

and verifies all work performed on the radiology computer system in an effort toward ensuring that patients are transported to and from the department in a timely and courteous manner and that procedures are performed as indicated.
and adheres to federal and state radiation safety guidelines and departmental and hospital policies and procedures pertinent to area of responsibility.

Education
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training and Completion of an Ultrasound program.
Licensure
Vascular Imaging Certification; BLS Certification; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (A.R.D.M.S.) within one year of employment; A.R.D.M.S. Registry Eligible
