THE PORT OF LONG BEACH IS SEEKING AMANAGER OF ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION

(This is an atwill position)
Salary Range: $157128.47 $219980.69

THE ROLE

In this impactful role you will report to the Assistant Director of Environmental Planning and lead a team of skilled professionals responsible for investigating and managing environmental remediation projects. These efforts play a critical role in addressing the Ports historical legacy of industrial and military use which has resulted in complex soil and groundwater contamination challenges. Youll oversee projects that align with major environmental regulations including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) Clean Water Act (CWA) and the PorterCologne Act. Youll be at the forefront of ensuring that remediation efforts meet both regulatory requirements and Port policy standards. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to the Port while shaping the future of one of the worlds most prominent seaports.
