Job Description
Job Summary
As a geotechnical lab technician you will be playing a critical role in analyzing soil rocks and groundwater samples collected from field investigations.

Job Responsibilities
- Communicating test status and results to Lab Supervisor and/or Department Manager
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Adhering to deadlines
- Ability to be flexible during peak times
- Promoting a safe work environment and maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Assisting with AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) proficiency testing as required
- Great attention to detail is required
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor/manager
- Any other task requested by the supervisor/ manager
Job Skills & Requirements
- Love and enjoy working indoors.
- Geology background preferred but it I not required.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Always adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures
- Understanding of the importance of QC (Quality Control) in the laboratory.
- Must be a selfstarter reliable and come with a good and humble attitude
- Attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork communication multitasking and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills such as Word and Excel.
- Basic Math knowledge.
- Clean MVR background and drug screening.
- Valid drivers license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager
