Vertiv is at the forefront of MarTech (Marketing Technology) where we believe that content is pivotal to our brand identity and customer loyalty. Given the complexity of our products we generate extensive documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
To manage this effectively we rely on robust Content Management Platforms Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Product Information Management (PIM) systems which form the core of our technological stack.
We are seeking an OpenText Developer responsible for developing configuring and maintaining solutions using OpenText Media Management/DAM and OpenText Teams/CMS. This role requires deep technical knowledge of OpenText technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with solution architects and business analysts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(List the major or most important job duties in order of most important to least important.)
The main job duties:
- Develop and support solutions based on OpenText Media Management/DAM and OpenText Teams/CMS.
- Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to understand requirements.
- Configure and maintain OpenText platforms.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to OpenText solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in the design and implementation of content modernization programs.
- Act as Technical Product Owner of the Digital Content Platforms at Vertiv.
- Develop and maintain web services and APIs.
- Contribute to both frontend and backend development processes.
- Create new product features or APIs.
- Identify and fix software bugs.
- Work with other departments on projects and sprints.
- Assist the development team in specifying and building requirements.
- Troubleshoot and fix open issues.
- Manage development of new products and features.
- Prepare and perform QA for new application releases.
- Support the release process including creating new application builds.
- Update application documentation.
- Interact with external vendors.
- Support prioritizing product backlog items based on their business value.

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:(Special conditions required of the job such as travel drivers license physical working conditions.)
- Occasional international travel may be required up to 1 per year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required.)
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Experience with OpenText Media Management/DAM and OpenText Teams/CMS.
- Knowledge of cloudnative technologies (e.g. AWS).
- Ability to develop custom solutions using Java and J2EE.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Experience with complex IT projects.
- Previous experience in SharePoint development projects is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Digital Content Management platforms (DAM and/or PIM).
- Strong frontend development skills: HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of web services RESTful principles and microservices.
- Familiarity with design principles.
- Intermediate to advanced backend skills: Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g. Python PHP).
- Understanding of databases and serverside logic.
- Functional knowledge of one or more of the following tools: Adobe AEM Optimizely OpenText Widen Bynder Aprimo SharePoint Inriver Hybris Salsify.
- Good knowledge of IT applications architecture.
- Proficiency in Jira.
- Understanding of interfaces to thirdparty systems.
- Knowledge of IT enterprise architecture and applications landscape.
- Basic knowledge of ITSM processes.
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructures.
- Priority will be given to candidates with one or more of the following certifications (in order of preference)
- OpenText Media Management Developer Certification
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer
- OpenText Media Management Business Administrator Certification
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator
- OpenText Media Management Analyst Certification
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Associate
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:(The minimum education certification special training and years of experience required to do a satisfactory job.)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with OpenText technologies.
- Strong technical background and handson development experience.
- Previous experience in SharePoint development projects is a plus.
- OpenText DAM certifications.
- Proven experience in implementing projects using OpenText DAM.
