Job Description

Job Title: Team Leader / Senior Residential Support Worker / Shift Lead

Location Liverpool Merseyside North West

Salary 37000 including sleeps

Shifts: 2 on 4 off

Service: Childrens Residential Care Home

Service Users: YP with various needs; EBD CSE CCE

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care is desirable

Experience: At least 1 years experience relevant to residential care in the last 5 years

The Opportunity

Excellent opportunity for an experienced qualified candidate to join the team in one of our clients childrens residential homes. Our client takes EBD Referrals and the YPs are 6 to 17 on Admission.

They specialise in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.

What you will be expected to do:

  • Ensuring shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers
  • To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
  • To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day
  • To provide reports and documentation that reflect the progress of the young person using our paperless systems and tools
  • To review the young peoples care plans and other associated documentation

You will also need:

  • To provide positive parenting
  • To have exceptional communication skills
  • To have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g. Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)
  • To be openminded empathetic in a calm and professional manner

Essential Requirements:

  • Must have a full manual driving licence
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Be willing to participate in further continuing professional development to support the needs of our young people
  • To have a clear passion and desire to support children and young people
  • To be an active member of the team and be committed to working in unison
