Salary range: $44897.17 to $52720.85 annually
Reporting to the Bookstore Manager you will be responsible for supporting them in coordinating general merchandise buying sales and inventory including marketing in person and ecommerce sales for the panprovincial campus bookstores. You will also be engaged in bookstore operations assisting the administrative assistants at metro campuses during peak times of the year with customer service general upkeep of the store as well as prepping for and aiding in semester rushes.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is a postsecondary certificate or diploma in Business Marketing or a related field.
You have a minimum of three years experience (fulltime equivalent) in retail purchasing merchandising and/or product management preferably in relevant product categories such as apparel stationery and gifts (an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience may be considered).
Demonstrated understanding of the higher education retail business including creativity in buying managing inventory and implementing ecommerce strategies to meet the expectations of customers in this unique environment.
Proven success in product management purchasing merchandising and leadership.
Occupational experience that includes postsecondary bookstore experience and/or marketing experience would be considered an asset.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite email Point of Sale systems and eCommerce.
Experience with Inventory Management Software would be considered an asset.
Experience with analysis (e.g. Microsoft Excel or Inventory management reporting) would be considered an asset.
Experience with Canva or equivalent software would be considered an asset.
