Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Perform daily maintenance of property equipment (i.e. Trucks and Platform Trailers) and vehicles throughout the facility.
- Inspect and evaluate operating conditions of equipment and vehicles.
- Perform maintenance activities and modify existing equipment and systems to keep the facility in good running order.
- Read understand and follow hydraulic pneumatic and electrical diagrams.
- Ensure that all maintenance is completed in accordance with established department policies and safety regulations.
- Attend training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed.
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications: - 2nd or 3rd year apprentices will be considered and apprentices with previous truck and trailer experience will be preferred.
- Must have a valid and current apprenticeship in place.
- CVIP Tech License would be an asset.
- Valid Drivers License with clean drivers abstract.
- Experience working with Heavy Haul Trucks particularly with Cumminss/Detroit Diesel engines and SISU Planetary axles and Platform Trailers would be preferred.
- Experience with Sheuerle and Goldhofer trailers an asset. Training could be provided for suitable candidates.
- Ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
Additional Training Requirements: - CSTS 2020.
- CSO.
- WHIMIS 2015.
- First Aid.
Position Details: - Must have own tools for start of work term and remove them at end of work term at own expense.
- Successful completion of preemployment alcohol & drug testing required.
