Level 9 is looking for an experienced bicycle technician to be the Bike Service Manager at our Millcreek location! In this role you will manage and work alongside a team of experienced bike technicians to complete all shop responsibilities. These responsibilities include customerfacing services like bike repairs tuneups and rentals as well as equipment maintenance and parts ordering. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe clean and organized workspace where team members can work together to ensure a great customer experience. This position will report to the Store Manager.
What you get to do every day:
Create a highfunctioning efficient shop that produces quality bike repairs tuneups and rentals in a timely manner
Communicate regularly with the Shop Manager and Assistant Managers and participate in team meetings
Repair and tune bikes alongside your team
Manage hire and train new shop employees and integrate them into your team
Maintain shop tools tuning machines and schedule service appointments as needs arise throughout the season
Maintain a clean organized and safe working environment
Facilitate a respectful and hardworking team dynamic focused on customer satisfaction
What you bring to the role:
Previous management experience preferred
34 years of experience in a bike shop performing repairs and tuneups
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of bicycle components and training others to complete these tasks
Ability to recommend rentals and demo bikes to walkin customers
Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and willing to learn new inventory management systems
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time necessary to fulfill daily operations
Ability to reach overhead bend squat kneel and carry products
Ability to walk up and down ladders carrying boxes products and other necessary storerelated items
Ability to safely lift boxes up to 75 lbs
Must have good organizational time management and problemsolving skills
Must have effective communication skills and attention to detail
