BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will have responsibility for the execution effectiveness and analytics of AP processes and systems. As upgrades and enhancements are implemented and processes change the specialist will be responsible for testing developing standard operating procedures creating and/or updating the process instructions and training materials accordingly. As the point of contact for system related issues this person will work closely with the management team. This person will be responsible for standard AP reporting from SAP and adhoc requests as needed.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop expertise of all AP related systems and be the point of contact for system related inquiries and issue
  • Identify and communicate system needs as they apply to all AP systems including but not limited to AS400 SAP Recall and Concur
  • Update create and maintain associates job codes and approval thresholds in Concur ensuring all data is accurate
  • Support and maintain the Vendor Invoice Management function in SAP
  • Assist with associate inquiries related to Concur and expense reimbursement
  • Develop process mapping for the Accounts Payable team
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department
  • Develop and document AP reporting from all related systems
  • Prepare audit and validate all 1099 data
  • Test and validate all system upgrades and enhancements
  • Focus on Quality and Excellence in Customer Service
  • Support the efforts of other functional groups within the department as required
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSCs vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years related business experience is required.

SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of accounts payable and related accounting process is required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar package required.
  • Ability to create and run reports within the accounts payable systems. Must have proficiency with some of the systems immediately; will train for near term proficiency on the remaining systems.
  • Strong PC/computer skills including EXCEL and WORD is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Attention to detail and follow up skills critical.
  • Process focused; looks for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates learning agility and organizational skills.
  • Able to be flexible and manage change.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A valid drivers license and the ability to travel up to 5% of the time may be required.
