Job Description
Summary:
A global company in the Marine industry is looking to hire a Tool Room Associate to join their warehouse team in Fort Lauderdale.
Schedule: MF 8am 5pm
Duties:
* Fulfilling orders
* Pick pack and ship tool orders
* Interpret mechanical blueprints and manuals
* Perform minor repairs on tools and/or equipment parts prior to shipment
* Signing tools out in the system
* Returning tools when sent back from calibration updating calibration management system and placing the tools to appropriate storage location
* Organizing and stocking the tool crib
* Operate a forklift
* Maintain cleanliness around the tool crib & warehouse
Requirements:
* Sitdown forklift experience
Preferred qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of tools
* Mechanically inclined
* Proficient using hand tools
* Ability to perform minor repairs
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints/manuals
* Basic computer skills (email data entry)
* Standup forklift experience
* Proficient using micrometers and calipers
* Knowledge of BAR measurements
* Vocational/Trade School degree
* Rigging experience is a plus
