THE ROLE:

The Accounts Payable Specialist processes accounts payable transactions and provides general support to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for the endtoend Accounts Payable cycle from receipt of invoice to payment as well as participating in several project teams within the company. The position requires a solid understanding of general accounting processes including the related systems applications and controls.

This position will be based in our Austin TX headquarters with a flexible hybrid schedule requiring 4 days in the office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Accounts Payable cycle: processing invoices acquiring approvals and getting vendors paid in a timely fashion

• Review/approve Expense Reports ensuring compliance with company policies

• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including employees vendors and independent contractors

• Handle inquiries regarding payments and invoices

• Assist with yearend financial audit and other audits

• Prepare 1099s and other tax filings as needed

• Assist with accounting software improvements and implementations

• Organize and maintain accounts payable email inbox files and records

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum 2 years accounting experience

• Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

• Superior organization skills

• Proficient in MS Excel

• Ability to multitask and manage time well

• Team player and ability to collaborate with other departments

• Detailed oriented

• Selfstarter with ability to work independently

• Ability to adapt in an environment where change is a constant

• Prior experience with NetSuite AirBase Ramp and Tipalti a plus
