About the role:
Were looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to help us take one of our largest and fastestgrowing businesses Videobased Safety to the next level.
Safety is a core reason why customers choose Samsara. The features this team builds identify driving risks provide programmatic access to Samsaras safety data and surface risky events to our customers and enable them to manage events with minimal time and resources.
Our team is at the forefront of utilizing artificial intelligence and diagnostic data to meet our customers safety needs. Since launching our AI dash cameras in 2019 weve consistently heard from customers about the critical role AI capabilities play in their purchasing decisions.
Were hiring a Principal Product Manager to take ownership of new initiatives as well as drive the vision roadmap and priorities of the Safety org. This position can be office based or fully remote.

In this role you will:
- Identify design and take to market innovative solutions and features in collaboration with Design Engineering and Marketing.
- Operate in an AIfirst mindset utilising the trillions of data points available to build impactful products
- Be the driving force behind a major product area shaping its roadmap and owning its success
- Possess a bold vision for the future of our products while also being comfortable diving into the details and driving execution
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our customers operations actively seeking feedback and embody an entrepreneurial spirit rapidly iterating and innovating to deliver value

Minimum requirements for the role:
- 8 years in a product management role.
- History of successfully launching and scaling innovative products.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science preferred. MS PhD or MBA also preferred.
- Strong technical understanding ability to establish credibility with engineers.
- Knack for gleaning customer insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Biastoaction and handson experience delivering business results. Youre not afraid to get your hands dirty.
- Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences.
- Ability to drive teams of diverse backgrounds to ship features on aggressive timelines.
