As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate to their fullest level in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your clientbase will consist of children (age 218) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Job Types: Fulltime parttime available
Salary: $72500.00$102000.00 per year
Schedule: Flexible hours between MondayFriday (96pm or 118pm)
Take an inside look at what you will do each day:
Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team
Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests criterion or curriculum referenced materials or checklists
Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client based on assessment results
Develop reports as required
Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs
Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals
Maintain knowledge in current evidencebased practices
Collect data and make evidencedbased decisions in treatment
Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy
Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centrewide visions
Here is what you will need to be successful:
At least 2 years experience working with children with ASD
Masters Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)
Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests etc.)
Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field
Member of college (COTO) and association (OSOT or CAOT)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to take initiative
Flexibility in scheduling clients
