Job Description

  • Key leadership role in embedding childsafe practices at UWA.
  • Lead the implementation of the Child Safety Framework Action Plan.
  • Fulltime 12month fixedterm contract.
  • Base salary range: $100524 to $111534 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Integrity and Standards Unit (ISU) is responsible for managing complaints student discipline integrity and child safety. In 2025 ISU is leading a strategic universitywide project to embed the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations at UWA through a comprehensive Child Safety Framework Action Plan.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a skilled project management professional to lead the delivery of UWAs Child Safety Framework Action Plan. This highimpact role will focus on coordinating work across multiple business units ensuring alignment with the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework and national child safety principles. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving project planning scheduling delivery and reporting across all phases of implementation.
  • Coordinating stakeholders across diverse areas of the university building strong partnerships to ensure ownership and accountability.
  • Developing and implementing practical tools training and resources to embed childsafe practices.
  • Managing project risks dependencies and performance metrics to ensure successful ontime delivery.
  • Supporting teams in assessing and strengthening their child safety practices to meet legislative and policy requirements.

About you

  • Extensive experience in endtoend project management with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement schedule management and delivery of complex crossorganisational initiatives.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success in driving cultural or compliancefocused change within large or complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of child safety principles frameworks and relevant legislation (including the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework) is desirable but not essentialwhat matters most is your ability to lead strategic projects with rigour and care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence negotiate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Special Requirements

  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate.
