Country Club Manager

Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club are looking for an experienced Club Manager to develop an already busy environment into a Club of Choice in the local area whilst maintaining a welcoming environment for the hotel residents. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Club which includes a fully equipped gymnasium free weights room studio indoor pool & Spa Bath plus 2 allweather tennis courts and par 3 golf course. The Spa Manager who manages 6 treatment room a pedicure studio and Relaxation Lounge will also report directly to you and be a key contributor to the overall club development.

Key Responsibilities

• Effective daytoday operation of the Country Club & Spa in conjunction with the Spa Manager
• Deliver a superlative guest experience
• Maximise Membership Spa and retail sales
• Stock control and stocktaking in line with Company requirements
• Staff scheduling in line with business levels
• Develop a proactive sales culture amongst all members of the team within the Country Club & Spa
• Training and development of the team to deliver a salesled and guestsatisfaction culture
• Be part of the monthly Manager on Duty schedule.

Key Attributes

• Proven ability to manage a small varied team preferably within a similar environment.
• Sales oriented with a proven track record preferably within a similar environment.
• Prepared to be hands on and multitask when needed.
• A good understanding of how to plan and organise work and staff efficiently to overcome the varying peaks and troughs of demand.
• Experience of implementing and monitoring health and safety at work legislation.
• A good understanding of the regulations and legislation concerning the operation of leisure facilities.
• A selfmotivated work ethic and a positive outlook on life.
• The flexibility to work a variety of shifts during the daytime evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and to deal with customer feedback and complaints.
• A high standard of personal presentation integrity and attention to detail and be highly organised.
• A knowledge of golf and associated rules would also be an advantage.
