This Quality Operations Engineer will have Quality Engineering responsibility for one or more assembly areas at theRaytheon Dine Facility (Farmington New Mexico) manufacturing location.Note this position does not provide relocation assistance.

As a factory QualityOperations Engineeryou will be interfacing with cross functional teams through face to face and teleconferencing interactions in a fastpaced environment with plenty of challenging opportunities. You will be engaging with Manufacturing Engineers Product Test Engineers Design Engineers Production Associates Management and customers to assure product and process compliance continuously improve processes and meet organizational goals. Your knowledge and experience will be valued and contribute to furthering the success of Raytheon Operations Quality.

**Please Note:This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington NM. RTX Dine Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual technical industry AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
  • Regularly generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics
  • Facilitate and lead crossfunctional team in failure analysis Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations including identifying nonconformances providing solutions tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
  • Ensure identification physical control and disposition of nonconforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary
  • Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions test instructions auditing processes and assuring configuration management
  • Development and maintenance of inspection instructions ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs
  • Regularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
  • Daily status meetings with the factory support factory management hourly employees and internal stakeholders to manage issue
  • Conduct weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositions

What you learn:

  • You will learn how to use and follow our Raytheon Quality Management System. This knowledge will be useful in any engineering position at Raytheon.
  • You will also have the opportunity to train and become a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). This is an external certification that you can have within or outside of Raytheon.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.
  • In lieu of degree a minimum of 6 years of engineering support experience is required.
  • Experience reviewing Experience reviewing schematic drawings as part of the assembly process
  • Experience using quality tools (e.g. Pareto analysis cause/effect diagrams process mapping)

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in negotiating having difficult conversations and ability to work well with factory management hourly employees and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in leading crossfunctional teams in auditing process and product/process improvements in the factory or at suppliers
  • Experience with AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Six Sigma or ASQ Certification
  • Data analysis; development and usage of actionable metrics

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
