A Bilingual Teacher plays a crucial role in the educational development of students who are speakers of multiple languages. This role involves teaching academic content in both English and another language ensuring that students meet educational standards while becoming proficient in both languages. Bilingual Teachers create and implement lesson plans assess student performance and collaborate with other educators and parents to support student success. They are instrumental in supporting students language development promoting bilingualism and fostering an appreciation for cultural diversity.

Placement of25/26candidates will occur when specific vacancies have been identified.
Employment with the district as a teacher in the Teacher Pool means the following:
- Position is fulltime and works the same time days times and calendar of teaching employees
- Assignment will be made in a position outside of your license area based on district need (this could be long term or daily assignments acting as building sub etc.) and will work every day
- Receive contract pay and benefits commencing the first day of employment under the collective bargaining agreement; will accrue system seniority
- Be considered a priority hire and offered contract positions within your license area before new hires to the district
Bilingual Teacher Qualifications & Skills
- Must have a bachelors degree or higher in Educaton
- Experience teaching in a bilingual or duallanguage setting.
- Proficiency in English and a second language (Spanish preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to become licensed in the State of Ohio
