THE ROLE:

Corporate Fortive Business System Director

As a Senior member of the Fortive Business System Office (FBS Office) Lean team you will have the opportunity to help define shape deploy teach and support the Fortive Business System (FBS) Fundamentals across Fortive includingthe continued deployment and evolution of Lean principles across the Fortive businesses.

This position will be instrumental in creating and executing scalable methodology for building FBS capability and culture in newly acquired businesses setting the stage for both quick impact and sustainable FBS driven business performance.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and successful change agent who has demonstrated ability in implementing and driving results with FBS both directly and through others in a variety of functions. This transformational leader must have high expectations for themselves and the Fortive Business System coupled with a high work ethic grit and a bias for action.

TEAM:
Senior individual contributor role with considerable amount of collaboration and influence with the Fortive Leadership Team including Operating Company Presidents and their respective Leadership Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine and deploy the FBS integration playbook at new acquisitions in partnership with OpCo FBS and senior leadership teams to ensure strong FBS adoption leading to sustainable FBS driven business results.
  • Drive successful implementation of key FBS tools and processes to accelerate innovation growth and operational results at new acquisitions.
  • Drive the usage of key Lean tools including but not limited to; Fortive Reliability System Dynamic Kanban Fortive Materials System Heijunka Problem Solving Standard Work Daily Management Kaizen Process Value Stream Mapping and others
  • Own update and Teach FBS Fundamental and Lean Tools; Serve as SMEs on same; Set Expectations for SMEs Champions Operating Company FBSLs Blackbelt population
  • Partner with Fortive Operating Company leadership in the development and execution of an FBS roadmap to achieve Policy Deployment (PD) Business Objectives and/or Key Performance Indicator targets
  • Own and support expansion of Continuous Improvement Culture at Fortive improving Employee Experience and Customer Experience
  • Build and enhance the capabilities of the Operating Company FBS Leaders to drive continuous improvement to achieve scale and broader reach and results; serving as a mentor/coach to this network.
  • Ensure successful/impactful kaizen events at Fortive Operating Companies
  • Coordinate and facilitate Benchmarking and Best Practice Sharing within and between Operating Companies
  • Coordinate any External FBS Partners

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years in operations or continuous improvement focused business system. At least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in a matrixed global organization. Demonstrated track record delivering results.
  • Leadership:Proven ability to lead and influence senior leaders; with strong mentoring coaching and teambuilding skills.
  • Strategic Mindset:Ability to think strategically lead change initiatives and drive continuous improvement in procurement and logistics processes.
  • Global Experience:Proven experience working in a global context with a clear understanding of regional differences.
  • DataDriven:Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Technical Skills:Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Tools structured problem solving tools Value Stream Mapping Daily/Visual Management and Kaizen facilitation.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
