US Worship & Arts Specialist

Department:

10 Months/PT Stipend (approximately 5 hours on site a week)

US Divisional Principal

Position Summary: The Worship & Arts Specialist provides visionary leadership spiritual mentorship and musical guidance for the Legacy Upper School worship arts team. Blending musical excellence with a heart for discipleship this role helps students deepen their faith while developing their creative and performance skills.

In partnership with the Upper School Principal Chapel Coordinator and audio/visual production team the Worship & Arts Specialist cultivates an environment where students are equipped and encouraged to lead worship with excellence humility and joy.

In addition to mentoring worship leaders this position is responsible for designing and delivering dynamic Christcentered instruction in worship leadership music theory and vocal/instrumental performance for high school students. Above all the Worship & Arts Specialist will advance the mission of Legacy Christian Academy by inspiring and preparing the next generation of leaders through the seamless integration of Christian faith and learning.

Spiritual Leadership and Discipleship

  • Model an active growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Cultivate a heart of worship and servant leadership among student team members.
  • Lead devotionals prayer times and spiritual conversations as part of team culture with our student worship team.

Student Mentorship and Development

  • Mentor and coach students in musical excellence leadership skills and creative expression.
  • Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to help students grow in their roles.
  • Empower student leaders to help plan and execute chapel & worship services.

Worship Planning and Preparation

  • A proven track record of supporting worship teams and specific experience with high schoolage students.
  • Collaborate with the Chapel Coordinator US principal and student leaders to organize chapel worship services.
  • Lead rehearsals guiding students in musical and technical preparation.
  • Support song selection arrangements and creative elements aligned with the schools spiritual goals.

Production and Technical Support

  • Support the technical aspects of worship gatherings including sound media lighting and staging in alignment with other support staff.
  • Ensure worship environments are set up executed and maintained with excellence.

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Maintain regular communication with students parents (as needed) and school leadership.
  • Manage scheduling for rehearsals and chapels in coordination with the school calendar.
  • Steward worship equipment technology and resources responsibly.
  • Conduct auditions in the Spring and ongoing as needed for worship team members each school year.
  • Willingness to differentiate between onlevel honors and advanced worship arts students and ability to assess mastery and skills for a grade.

Education/Experience: A bachelors degree in worship arts music ministry or a related field

Language Ability:

Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral expression; ability to relate effectively with trustees school personnel parents students and other school constituent groups and individuals; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of students staff.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Be adept with school management software and basic office software.
