Job Description

TRIUMF is looking to hire a temporary worker to join our team for evening janitorial responsibilities.
The position is a oneyear term position to start with the possibility of an extension.
To apply you must be eligible to work in Canada for at least one year from the start date which is expected to be mid June 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collecting garbage and recycling from offices
- Cleaning lavatories and replacing supplies as required
- Sweeping and damp mopping offices hallways and common areas
- Vacuuming areas with carpeting
- Cleaning glass and windows
- Cleaning and disinfecting touchpoints including door handles and pushbars
- Cleaning stairways and handrails
- May be called up for special cleanup projects
- Other janitorial related duties as assigned
- Requires raising objects using the hands and arms.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
A basic knowledge of cleaning equipment chemicals and janitorial techniques is required. Requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to understand and take direction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Prior commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
